Mistie Badders is the heart behind Tailored Canine. A devoted mom of two and lifelong animal lover, Mistie founded Tailored Canine in 2020 with one mission in mind: to be the voice dogs need and the guide their humans deserve. As a certified behavioral specialist, she’s especially passionate about working with reactive and misunderstood dogs—those who often get overlooked but need compassion and structure the most.
Recognizing a growing need for patient, thoughtful grooming services, Mistie expanded Tailored Canine in 2024 to include professional grooming that prioritizes each dog’s comfort and emotional well-being. Her philosophy is simple but powerful: be the advocate your dog doesn’t have words to be. She believes in educating owners just as much as training dogs—empowering families to build trust, confidence, and a lifelong bond with their pets.
