BEGINNER / PUPPY
This Dog Training class is for the new family members that need dog training to learn all of the puppy & Beginning fundamentals. We live by the meaning of “Play is Training & Training is Play”. This is a group class that is sure to keep everyone on their toes and learning something new each and every class. We keep our numbers down to ensure that everyone is getting quality dog training & all questions are answered.

For pups who’ve mastered the basics and are ready for the next step, our Intermediate Training Class builds on foundational skills with added focus on reliability, impulse control, and real-world distractions. Mistie Badders is the heart behind Tailored Canine. A devoted mom of two and lifelong animal lover, Mistie founded Tailored Canine in 2020 with one mission in mind: to be the voice dogs need and the guide their humans deserve. As a certified behavioral specialist, she’s especially passionate about working with reactive and misunderstood dogs—those who often get overlooked but need compassion and structure the most.
Recognizing a growing need for patient, thoughtful grooming services, Mistie expanded Tailored Canine in 2024 to include professional grooming that prioritizes each dog’s comfort and emotional well-being. Her philosophy is simple but powerful: be the advocate your dog doesn’t have words to be. She believes in educating owners just as much as training dogs—empowering families to build trust, confidence, and a lifelong bond with their pets.
Whether she’s helping a reactive dog feel safe in the world or creating a low-stress grooming experience, Mistie is driven by one thing above all: putting the dog’s needs first.
